Megalithic stone circle sacred site near black mountain. Circle contains 20-25 natural megaliths some as tall as 9-10 feet. The outer circle is 100 feet in diameter and contains an inner circle of 15 feet in diameter which has a fire pit. This inner circle is perfect for ceremonies, events and simply sitting by the fire. The outlying megaliths mark the cardinal points of direction and sunsets on the equinoxes and solstices as well as the northernmost moon set.
This site was constructed by hand using prehistoric means and no modern mechanical power. This megalithic circle sits on 8 acres of rural private land at 1,800 feet elevation southeast of Black Mountain along Cedar creek. The property includes about 100 yards of creek frontage, mountain views and overlooks a 1 acre pond.
