You’ll find Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, White Bass, Catfish, Bluegill, and Sunperch. With 27 miles of shoreline and access to the Rocky Broad River, there’s plenty of water to explore, whether you’re heading out for a quiet morning or a full day of fishing.
Guests can also enjoy Bald Mountain Lake, located within Rumbling Bald. This smaller, more relaxed setting features a family-friendly fishing pier and is ideal for children. No fishing license or permit is required at Bald Mountain Lake.
A valid North Carolina fishing license is required for Lake Lure and the Rocky Broad River. Boating permits for Lake Lure are issued by the Town of Lake Lure. Visit their website for the latest details on boating and fishing permits.
