Rumble on the Mountain – Men’s Member-Guest Golf Tournament
It’s time for the annual Rumble on the Mountain – Men’s Member-Guest Tournament, a multi-day golf challenge in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains from October 15th-17th. Registration is mandatory! FORMAT:
Complimentary practice round on Thursday, October 15th. Call for details. Golfers will play five 9-hole matches within their flight over two days. Winners will be determined by the total accumulated points of the five matches. Ties will be determined by their head-to-head match with additional tiebreakers, if necessary. Overall tournament champions will be decided by an exciting flight winner’s shoot-out.
HANDICAPS AND FLIGHTING:
Teams will be flighted based on a combined Handicap Index. If you anticipate an issue regarding your or your guest’s handicap, please contact Adam Bowles at 828.694.3040 prior to the tournament. Each player will receive 100% of their course handicap per the USGA Rules of Handicapping. Players will stroke off the low player in each match. All teams’ handicaps will be adjusted to a maximum of 10 strokes difference between players.
SCORING:
The format for the matches is Four-Ball Match Play. Points will be awarded as follows:
- Win the Hole: 1 point
- Lose the Hole: 0 points
- Tie the Hole: ½ point
- Maximum 7 points per match
