Carolina Shag Dancing

The summer isn’t the same without some Carolina beach music and Shag Dancing. You asked for it – it’s here.

• Who: Members only
• What: Shag Dancing –(what is shag dancing? It is a two-person, male-led dance with a basic step that allows much room for improvisation and imagination. The dance looks deceptively easy but is actually quite complicated. The origins of the shag are slightly cloudy, but some historians trace its evolution back to early settlers of the Carolina.)
• Where: The Gardens Restaurant
• When: Tuesday, November 28th from 6-8pm
• RSVP: Can be done on the member’s app/website or through Jburchfield@rumblingbald.com. Registration required. Strictly limited to 30 participants, first come first serve, but we will have a waitlist. The deadline to register is November 21st.
• Cost: Free

Our RB members Cindy and John Wilcox, will provide Shag Dancing instruction to Members only. Both couples and single persons are welcome. No charge for this MEAC-sponsored event because there will be no food or beverage offered (Bring your own cooler and snacks).
