What we’re thankful for..

“Cultivating an attitude of gratitude begins with counting your blessings. In simpler terms, gratitude is expressing thanks for gifts we receive. Genuine gratitude helps us to see the little things in life that are often overlooked, yet so precious.”  ― Dana Arcuri

It’s amazing the simple pleasures we can take for granted – that’s what makes the season of Thanksgiving particularly wonderful. We can to take this time to sit back and reflect on the small joys we receive throughout the year. Here are a few things we are thankful for at Rumbling Bald Resort:

The Great Outdoors
No matter the season, our corner of the Blue Ridge Foothills supplies us with endless beauty. In spring, we see the rebirth of our landscape as Forsythia, Daffodils, Tulip Trees and others begin to bloom. In Summer, the warm air and cool water provide a wide variety of avenues for exploration be it hiking, fishing, biking or otherwise, and in Autumn, the tree leaves blaze brightly before their winter slumber – a winter which occasionally brings “that fluffy stuff”, which seems to make everything magical.

Members and Guests
Our member and guests are the heart and soul of the Resort. They bring love, laughter and joy to our facilities and property. Nothing warms our hearts more than hearing a resident or vacationer speak about how much they love the Resort! We are so thankful that our members have chosen to make RBR home and that our guests choose to come back year after year.

And speaking of guests – we’re especially thankful to those who choose to celebrate their “BIG DAY” here. Throughout the year, we have the opportunity to host the family and friends of couples across the US on their wedding day! Its such as joy to share in their love on such a special day.

Lake Lure
We would be remiss if we did not mention how thankful we are for our proximity to Lake Lure. From the crew teams who break its waters in early spring and the couples who lounge on the beach in the summer and the children who speed tube during camp to the marshmallow bonfires held alongside its waters in the fall – we couldn’t ask for a better place to work or live!

A few of our employees are thankful for:
“I am thankful for my friends and family and for being able to wake up to a new day every morning.”
“For the support of loved ones, endurance through the bad time and all the blessings in my life.”
“Being able to share this life with the ones I love.”

A few of our members are thankful for:
“Having the ability to know just how blessed we are to live in such a wonderful country.”
“My family and being able to appreciate life’s blessings.”
“Our new baby girl and the joy she brings us.”

What are you thankful for? From little to big, it’s always worth sharing.
